The Big Opportunity (Special AI Edition)
Do you know how the frontline feels about new tech?
To better understand how staff members on every level of an organisation feel about new tech - AI in particular - Sona’s most recent 1,000 person survey delved into the motivations of both leavers and joiners to the sector and explored:
- openness to new technology
- generational divides in attitudes to tech
- how to mitigate the fear of change
- the impact technology has had on their work lives and the delivery of care
Responding to AI and other technological advancements with openness can put the Social Care sector ahead of its challenges, from recruitment and retention, to ageing populations and fluctuating economies. It can mean switching from a reactive stance to a proactive one, achieving financial sustainability, and delivering a better workplace and better care.
Staff fear of change is no longer a objection - 85% respondents state that having the latest technology at work is important or very important for their decision to stay with their employer.
This report will be of particular use to C-level executives in HR, Operations, Wellbeing, and People. It will look at trends seen in the last year, meaningful changes compared to 2023, and highlight practical steps for Social Care organisations to become tech leaders and better target the needs of both those who deliver care and those who receive it.
