2023 will be the year that Social Care…'works its way through the challenges.'
People functions are leaning on technology more heavily than ever. And Claire is no exception. For one, she’s previously been a Head of HR and IT! Her track record of introducing new systems that have significantly improved the experience for 3,500+ employees whilst at Advinia Health Care made her a no brainer for the inaugural Trailblazers list.
During her time there she introduced a number of modern, employee-facing apps, including Wagestream for early wage access, TerryBerry for staff benefits, and Sona for access to flexible shifts and overtime. She also oversaw the implementation and integration of new HR, Payroll and Time & Attendance systems, too!
Claire’s belief in doing things differently has paid dividends. As well as driving up employee satisfaction and retention across Advinia, she oversaw a 60% reduction in agency hours and a resulting 40% saving in agency costs. We have no doubt that she will make a similarly monumental impact in her (relatively) new role at Liaise.

Challenging
What was your biggest achievement in 2022?
Staying strong through a period of turbulence and keeping the focus on the employee experience.
What was the biggest challenge and how did you overcome it?
Recruitment and retention was a major challenge and that has moved into 2023. However, we are looking at ways to disrupt the status quo within the care sector with the aspiration to bring innovation into our approach.
What are your priorities for 2023?
It’s all about staff well-being for me.

There are so many, but this year I would like to create more time for things outside of work.
